Royel Otis provides a ray of sunlight and refreshment with "Kool Aid" — a new age psych rock heartbeat.

It's always hit and miss with a track that wants to feel like sunshine, whether it's a sunset or a sunrise, but "Kool Aid" hits that perfect little drippy golden feeling of a midmorning sun, the yellow-stone lighting, the golden aesthetic and a wide-eyed view of urban space in bloom.

"Kool Aid" is as refreshing as its reference, but also just a tall drink of sunshine and I want to have those rays all over my day.
