Why do we like this?

The interracial Irish hip-hop trio Rusangano Family is composed of MCs MuRli, God Knows, and DJ/producer mynameisjOhn. After creating waves locally with their individual projects, the trio joined forces under the Rusangano name. 

Named after one of the critical nexus of travel and immigration in Europe, "Heathrows" is blistering. The Rusangano crew juxtaposes gripping and visceral stories from the perspective of immigrants with a recorded commentary from Irish politician Áine Ní Chonaill, who infamously described African refugees as modern-day invaders. 

Powerful music for critical times, the trio will be emigrating stateside for a string of dates during SXSW, ahead of their debut LP, Let The Dead Bury The Dead, due out early 2016.
