Why do we like this?

Okay I'll be totally honest: I was fully prepared for disappointment before hitting play on this song. Say Lou Lou caught my attention way back in the day, but everything they've released since then has just felt flat and frankly too safe.

"Ana" though. Wow.

This song is a complete departure from the sound I'm familiar with for this band. It reminds me a ton of Portishead, but has a clear Lana Del Rey connection. And the progression? Dark, emotional and super interesting to the ear.

The Swedish duo will be releasing this song as part of their upcoming album Immortelle, due in September.
