Why do we like this?

Toronto continues to produce tremendous musical artists and newcomer Saya is no different. 

The 23-year-old has just dropped the alluring, "Side TIng," the first taste of her forthcoming EP, Sugar Coated.

A dizzy R&B slow burner reminiscent of classic '00s pop, "Side Ting" is the type of track you want to bump and grind to in the club when the lights go down and the drugs kick in. 

Saya has said the song is inspired in part by Britney Spears', "Mmm Papi," and was written at a time when she felt stuck.

I was lusting for something different and for something more. I tried to depict a playful yet intense visual to go along with the song that almost felt like you were in my head with me.

The Sugar Coated EP is out August 8.
