Shunya - Painted Hearts

Shunya - Painted Hearts

Aug 16, 2013

Total plays:
Sounds like: Baths, Shigeto, Thrupence
Why do we like this?
Shunya sounds like nothing I've ever heard before. Having only recently emerged from Melbourne's electronic music scene, his classical training and electronic wizardry combine to create something otherworldly and beautiful, whilst still displaying a deep level of musical and technical ability.

Today we're super amped to be bringing you the premiere of Shunya's new single "Painted Hearts," off his forthcoming EP. An understated, dreamy concoction of breathy vocals, Middle Eastern instruments, beats reminiscent of luminaries like Baths and Shigeto, and attention to detail in every area possible, "Painted Hearts" is certainly one of the most beautiful, intricate tracks I've heard in a long time.

Shunya's forthcoming EP is due out through Bossman Records before the end of the year. Drawing from a vast array of influences, it's sure to be one interesting listen. This isn't the last you've heard of Shunya.
