Why do we like this?

Without knowing where Sinqa's from, I bet you can guess.

Silky bassline? Smooth synths? Lush vocals? Sounds like Sebastien Tellier?

Yep, you guessed it. He's French. And he's got a really good debut single here with "Siren." The 24-year-old Parisian says he takes influence from The Beatles, though I'm not sure I can hear that. At the end of the day it doesn't matter so much, does it? What's matters is that the music's good, and in this case the box has been checked :)
