Why do we like this?
Sometimes it's nice to just listen to something completely uncomplicated, and Melbourne band Sleepy Dreamers is currently helping me out in that regard. After forming back in 2010, the four-piece released a delightful debut EP titled Creatures earlier this year, and quickly begun working on new material.
For me, folk music is either hit or miss -- there's absolutely no grey area. Sleepy Dreamers latest single "Bike Song" is the former, a short and sweet track that will have you whistling along in no time. While it's simple, the band create a terrific warmth with plenty of summery guitar chords and mellow vocals, resulting in a particularly catchy ditty.
"Bike Song" is the first single from Sleepy Dreamers' sophomore EP, which is slated for release earlier next year. Make sure to check out their earlier work here.
