Why do we like this?

L.A.-based indie/electronic duo Solar Heist is launching their latest single, the exclusive “Take You Home,” right here on Indie Shuffle. Following up previous release "Wait For Love," "Take You Home" continues their funk-influenced, warmhearted pop output.

The product of childhood friends singer/songwriter Jason Powers and longtime DJ/producer Justin Karcich (DJ Just), Solar Heist will release their five-track sophomore EP, Day Trip, next month. (Some of you may be familiar with 2012's Searchin' or their self-titled 2013 EP. If not, consider yourself indoctrinated.)

"Take You Home" is aptly titled -- the track is a pleasant breeze, bringing you back with playful nostalgia and a tender look toward the future.
