An Ominous River, My Decisions
Tame Impala evolves their sound with a progressive alt-rock funk hybrid that builds throughout its duration.
"The Boat I Row" is a journey designed and curated by Tame Impala — it feels as though they'reexperimenting with their sound. They take what we know to be Tame Impala and revamp it in a way only Tame Impala can.
The track evolves throughout its run in unexpected ways, gaining a stronger guitar here, a bass overtake there, or a harder funk aesthetic everywhere. I can feel the joy in the design of the track and it's refreshingly familiar...
...and yet, a whole different body of water.
