Why do we like this?

Leeds-based six piece Team Picture have this week shared latest single "Strange Year."

A rollicking indie-pop grafter, "Strange Year" has a wonderful melody paired with a dynamic chorus. The track is the third single taken from the band’s forthcoming mini-album, Recital, featuring the already released tracks "(I Have A) Little Secret" and "(I Want Your) Life Hack." Guitarist Josh says of the track:

The aim with 'Strange Year' was to try and make it filmic. We used a lot of similar synth sounds on this as we did to ‘(I Have A) Little Secret’, but the guitars got a little crazier, and there’s a hint of Bilinda Butcher in the way we tried to make those vocals float in the chorus.

I have to say I'm also a big fan of the male female harmonies, adding another dimension to the feel good vibe of the track. 

Recital is set for release June 1.
