Why do we like this?

Chicago-based, Kenneth Foss, is TEEN BLUSH.

March saw the release of his wonderful EP, Between My Teeth, in which you can almost hear the sad eighties movies plus the new wave and post-punk bands that must have inspired this. Even though you can immediately sense the inspiration, this EP doesn’t feel like a trite imitation; it feels fresh, full of energy and a little bit like a cathartic effort.

"Bite my Lip" is the first track. The entirety of the EP differs from what Mr. Foss had been releasing, distancing from the dream pop vibe of his previous music and delivering a more poignant, fast-paced collection of songs.

I’m hoping he maintains this new sound, but having heard him trying something new with his music, and liking it the way I did, I could also go for him cruising on a new direction.
