Why do we like this?

What's more British than having The Arctic Monkeys cover The Beatles? Perhaps only The Beatles performing themselves...

Unfortunately the latter was not an option. But, those of you watching the Olympics opening ceremony last night were likely lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the awesome rendition (which was apparently cut short for US feeds).

Turns out the cover of the 1969 classic was actually laid down a year or two ago, with a wonderfully recorded version available to stream. Props to We All Want Someone for the find.
