The Birthdays

Bringing some upbeat loving with "Baby Blur," The Birthdays is giving us an offbeat drum rhythm with an almost surf-rock guitar riff. While the lyrics are more emotive, the drums make this one even your old uncle would click along with a flick of the wrist.The chorus is simple but the hazy, breathy vocals accompanied by vocal croonings make for an easy listen; easy enough to keep this on rotation for the day. It's one of those tracks that have that indie film travel montage feel to it and who's not a sucker for some shots of Conversed feet dancing in the sand while some indie rock plays in the background?The Birthdays is a collaboration between Ben Grey of Dear Boy & Jackson Phillips of Day Wave. They are finishing up songs for their debut EP and are currently planning their very first live dates. Watch this space.
