Why do we like this?
This guy's a really good singer. I think that's the main reason "Badlands" pulled me in.
The Born Love is actually a duo by the name of Kevin and Aron, and this marks their second single (following up last year's "Tempest"). It follows through various folk-rock/electro-pop twists and turns, ultimately landing in a similar territory to that of Local Natives. Which is a pretty good place to land, if you ask me.
Oh, and don't be fooled -- while these guys only have two songs under their belt as The Born Love, they've got plenty of experience in the music industry. To date, they've helped pen songs from Halsey, BANKS and Vérité -- all Indie Shuffle regulars.
