Why do we like this?

January's always a bit of a dry month for new releases, but that just means it's a good time to share a couple of older tunes I've been spinning lately.

One such track is Larry Levan's famous remix of The Joubert Singers' "Stand On The World," a classic at New York's legendary Paradise Garage in the 80s. Originally recorded as a gospel track, Larry Levan gives it a subtle retouching to make it suitable for an ecstatic club audience.
