The Marías call us up late at night and remind us how much we've missed them with their soft-spoken "Nobody New." "Nobody New" is The Marías at their most intimate, soft, open, and beautifully real. The track seems built on a foundation of honest pain, and it's a rare feeling for a song to excel at. The song hymns and moves in a slow way, not going anywhere too fast, but it does try (and succeed) at explaining itself, its pain & its inability to move on. and that, by itself, is beautiful and haunting. "Nobody New" is joyously sad.
