The Mountain Goats - No Children (Communist Daughter Cover)

The Mountain Goats - No Children (Communist Daughter Cover)

Nov 30, 2012

Total plays:
Sounds like: Cat Power, Kaki King
Why do we like this?
Ohhh, The Mountain Goats. There was a time when I used to listen to them quite religiously. It was winter time, and everything was somewhat melancholy.

The band has been incredibly prolific, releasing a new album practically every year since 1994. Which means the likelihood that you've heard every song is pretty slim.

No worries though, because six-piece folk band Communist Daughter have come to the rescue to expose us to a gem: "No Children" off the 2002 album Tallahassee. And boy, have they done it well! The song premiered on My Old Kentucky Blog yesterday, and sounds strikingly like it could have been performed by the original band.

Communist Daughter are kicking off a tour tonight, and may be coming to a city near you. Tour dates below!
