Why do we like this?
While not a perfect remix, the overarching sound of Erol Sabadosh's take on The Strokes' "Call Me Back" enjoyably maintains the harmonic elements that make the band's sound irresistible to me. Relative to the original, I like this more upbeat sound. The only part I could do without is the God awful noise that starts at 1:47.
Why am I posting it then, you ask? Because even though I dislike that specific portion, it creates a contrast such that at 2:15, the re-introduction of Julian Casablancas' vocal crooning strikes me ears like an angel's fluffy sledgehammer. Something about this chord transition wins me. Hard.
