There are few genres that I love better than house, specifically deep house. There will never be another genre as a whole that will make me feel as settled and sexy in my skin. If, with every step I took, I could emanate a vibration, a sound that would rattle the ground I walked and fill some invisible arena of space with an organic, moving mass of music that would cocoon me like my very aura, that sound mass would be deep house.
I've been telling myself lately (and a few others, just to set truth in motion) as a music writer, while I want to share music that people want to listen to and music they share with me, the trend-chasing is exhausting and it isn't why I got into this. I got into it because I was obsessed with deep house, my sweetest disposition.
The Temper Trap's "Sweet Disposition" (remixed by NekliFF) then, is my soul proclamation, my personal affirmation. Sure, I like everything, I love music, but I live for deep house and "Sweet Disposition" came as a reminder; shaking loose the dust and exposing the essence of my heart. Such a good feeling. Maybe it's time to get back to your essence, too. Step back, rest, reset, remind yourself what makes you unapologetically, you.
