The World Of Birds have more joyous indie pop to offer with "Stay Here," which works both as a song -- to listen too -- and as a signal that there is more on the horizon. Fronted by Al Bairre's Nic Preen, the early days of this group have been promising. Nic also didn't totally shoot down my plans to start a band called The World Of The Birds, so he's also a nice guy, and that's something to get behind.
It's important though that we highlight some of the extra magic behind the story of this act, the actual World of Birds in Cape Town. The attraction is in a league of its own when it comes to bird sanctuaries in South Africa, and as with anything that's done from the heart, it's struggling financially.
