Are there exciting new sounds coming out of Africa? You bet. Case in point: Thor Rixon and Alice Phoebe Lou. They're both fairly well known here (and in Berlin), but I reckon this latest release is going to give them even more exposure to the international market -- and that's a damned good thing. "Death pt II" comes off Thor's new EP, Songs From The Bath. It features seven tracks that explore a variety of musical landscapes; this one just happens to be my favorite.
