Whether you're a fan of the show or not, there's no denying Girls has always had a great soundtrack. Lena Dunham has consistently chosen songs that capture the vibe of the show, and the latest artist to feature is Australia's very own Tkay Maidza.
Dunham's people reached out to Maidza for a new track to used in the final seasons penultimate episode, Goodbye Tour. In a statement released to Triple J, Maidza discussed how it all came about.
"Girls reached out to my US label asking if we had any unreleased songs for their final ever season as Lena knew who I was and is apparently a fan of mine. They wanted something for a party scene and I have maybe 5-10 songs that are basically finished but didn't make the cut for my album.
We thought Glorious could fit well so sent them that and the feedback was that Lena loved it and they wanted to use it. I love the show and it's really crazy that they know me but I'm excited to see the track in there and for people to hear it."
"Glorious" certainly fits the description, with Maidza displaying her singing voice over the electronic production.
