Why do we like this?

Turtle Giant asked if we'd be down to premiere their new track "Orange Grape," and I actually wound up enjoying it quite a bunch. On top fo that, the band is based out of Macau. I can't quite remember the last time we covered a band from that region, so I figure there's a first time for everything...

"Orange Grape" is a psychedelically influenced folk-rock track that keeps things relatively simple: there are guitars, a bass, drums, simple vocals, and a whole lot of reverb. Made up of members Antonio Conceiso, Beto Ritchie and Frederico Ritchie, the band places its origins in Sao Paulo.

Given their international backing, I find it interesting that this song seems to have little foreign influence: rather, it comes off a wholly "Western." But that's okay, because they seem to be pretty good at that.

"Orange Grape" will be released on the bands forthcoming album, details about which should be visible on the band's website sometime in the near future.
