Why do we like this?
Bursting forth from Austin, Texas, Ume's music is not only scintillating, it is outright captivating. So much so that the trio's brand of axe-wielding awesomeness could almost satisfy my every need. Sans food, water, shelter and the needle enabling me to play their incredible record(s). And to put it any other way would be trite or overwrought.
Thankfully, I'm not alone in this line of thought, as the band has recently signed to Dangerbird Records, the home of other great indie rock bands like Minus The Bear, Silversun Pickups, and Royal Teeth. With Dangerbird releasing their sophomore LP, Monuments, on March 4, it is safe to say that Ume will be stealing the affection of many boys and girls in 2014.

Simply put, these three rock harder than most, if not all.
