Why do we like this?

I've recently been on a bit of a WhoMadeWho kick, specifically spinning "Neighbourhood" and "Ember" on repeat. It was my good fortune then, that the Danish band dropped a new release — "Children."

The track features the renowned Danish children's choir Vesterbros Ungdomsgård, blending early '80s new wave and '90s acid influences. Serving as the second single from their upcoming 9th studio album, set for a 2024 release, "Children" celebrates their global fanbase and the essence of the international dance scene.

Set against a backdrop of primitive drum machines and lush synth pads,"Children" is a sonic kaleidoscope of inventive beats, and an invitation to join the dance of self-discovery.

The lyrics weave a beautiful tale of who and what we are, spinning us out into the galaxy and allowing us to find a home wherever it is that we land. WhoMadeWho's "Children" captures the essence of each individual's little corner of the universe, in all its fragility and splendour.
