Why do we like this?
Well I'll be darned if this isn't an exceedingly fun tribute.
William Onyeabor released a number of amazing funk tracks back in the 70s, but come 1985 he flipped the lights out and decided to never touch music again. It was a loss to Africa's funk scene, but fortunately not forgotten.
This 7-minute Hot Chip cover comes as part of a collaborative album titled WHAT?! - William Onyeabor Remix, which includes contributiosn fromt he likes of The vaccines, Daphni, Javelin, and a whole bunch more.
If you're into it, you'll want to grab your copy here.
