Why do we like this?

Described by Ryan Adams as a "musical unicorn," Phoebe Bridgers is a weaver of magical moments inside this month's new single. 

"You must have been looking for me," she sings, "sending smoke signals, pelicans circling." 

While burning trash out on the beach may not be the most beautiful imagery, it's the returning guitar riff and incorporated strings in this minimalistic composition that make for a haunting and romantic five and a half minutes. 

She's previously played shows with Julien Baker and tours with Conor Oberst in Europe this winter. And at just 22, with her 2015 debut EP Killer already behind her, there's much more to wait for.
