Why do we like this?

We previously shared a few other gems from Texture Like Sun, such as "Bottle" back in August and more recently, a track called "One Great Prize." The band has just finished their debut EP, which is set to be officially released on November 2. The earthy vocals of a piece titled "Weekend" once again draws attention to this up-and-comer, maintaining the buzz that "Bottle" created.

There's a certain "quality about the EP that descends well beyond just plaintive lyricism," as the band describes. "Weekend" is slow, distilling and dreamlike. We are catapulted into a vision of early, lazy mornings filled with coffee sipping and the flipping of newspaper pages.

Australians: Texture Like Sun is preparing to tour your wonderful country from November 8-15, visiting Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. For the rest of us... sigh. We'll just have to wait.
